Flower Care

We want you to enjoy your flowers as long as possible and we recommend the following to keep them looking fresh longer.

Flower Care

The flowers that we source have been chosen with much care and passion that is important for us to share with you the best methods for keeping them as long as possible in the best conditions. Remove packaging and trim the stems at an angle. Always use fresh clean water daily. Display in a cool location away from direct sunlight, heat and draughts.

Plant Care

Foliage plants, keep the compost moist. Avoid over-watering, draughts, heat and direct sunlight. Feed plants fortnightly with a house plant liquid feed.

For Bouquets

Before you place them into a vase, trim 3 to 4cm off the end of the stems at an angle. This will remove the dry ends and provide a freshly cut surface so the flowers can absorb the water. You may like to cut the tie once they are in the vase. Place immediately in a clean vase with fresh, room temperature water. It is important to change the water as soon as it becomes cloudy – ideally every second day. Wash the vase out properly and re snip the flowers before placing them back into the vase.

For Arrangements in Foam

Box Arrangement: Top up water upon arrival – about ½ glass of water. Tope up with water every couple of days, being sure not to overfill the container.

Ceramic Arrangement: Fill to the top with water upon arrival, and top it up every couple of days, being sure not to overfill the container.

For All Flowers

Keep flowers in a cool place, away from draughts, direct sunlight, heaters, televisions, and microwaves. Remove dead flowers from the arrangement as they release gases which make the other flowers open faster.

We hope you enjoy your beautiful flowers!
